The Pudding

About a year ago myself and a group of friends decided to make a video. For days we thought long and hard what it should be about. Until finally one day it came to me 7th period gym class I knew what to film it about. I told the others. We should make it into a joke video. Yes, a comedy video about pudding. Most of them were confused about it but I knew that it would look so amazing in the end. So that day I left and went to the store to get some fun packs of pudding. The pudding turned out to be only sold in packs of 8. That meant for me that if I were to mess up with the filming that I shouldn’t worry as much. The video contained my boyfriend Aaron and myself sitting at a McDonalds sitting and talking about what we thought we saw. I thought I say my friend Yumi skipping up a hill holding hands with one of my other friends Zeb. On and on I went on talking about how the day was nice, bright, the grass was green, and birds were in the air. Every time I said what I thought I saw I showed a clip of them skipping up the kill in that nice day. But every time that clip would end Aaron would come back with saying that he saw Yumi pushing Zeb down the hill. He said that Zeb rolled down the hill and had grass stains all over his clothing. After Aaron said that a clip showed up on screen of Yumi pushing Zeb down the hill. This went on for about 1 minute back and forth. Until finally we asked one another “wonder what really happened.” Once that was said the audio stopped and only this techno music started to play as we saw Zeb roll down the hill. He’s rolling until his head lands in a cup of pudding at the end of the hill. Questioning why that was there he got up and walked into the school building. Everywhere Zeb went the pudding cups ended up just appearing. Sitting in art club reading the newspaper Zeb placed his elbow on the table. To his surprise it was not the table his elbow touched; the table touched the brown gooey substance. Getting mad Zeb turned away from the desk and left the room in a huff. While trying to sit down to eat a chesses sandwich not noticing anything unusual he went to take a bit out of it. What seemed to be a normal sandwich turned out to be a cheese and pudding cup one. Not being able to eat it in peace again Zeb walked off in a huff. Therefore on where ever Zeb went he would run into pudding. The next day in the video he thought his troubles were over. Our friend Cameron got to be in the film just for a little while. His part involved him talking to Zeb to see how he was doing. Zeb told him about how he got unpleasantly pushed down the hill by Yumi. But when he tried to tell Cameron about the pudding Cameron decided to pull out a fun size pudding cup out of his backpack. Zeb dashed off screaming, ending the video at that. This video thought me that no matter how stupid the idea you can always get it filmed.

The Cake

Mr. Johnson, a male about 35 years old, tall and thin decided that he wanted to buy a cake. This was a man that had no reason to be buying a cake, he simply thought he would obtain one. Many people did not know much about Mr. Johnson. All they knew of him that he lived in the old abandoned house that was believed to be haunted on 5th Maple St. The house was old, painted a unique shade of green, had several broken windows, and lots of little creepy figurines laid around the front lawn. Many wondered why someone as lonely as Mr. Johnson would want to buy a cake. This question lingered around for a couple of days. No one seemed to want to ask him about it. They were more so afraid of him. There was nothing wrong with about him just that he lived in that house all alone for years. Days passed by and one of the neighbors saw Mr. Johnson walking out of his house wearing all black, looking suspicious. Holding a book about cakes, he would walk down the street removing every trash can lid as he walked by. The book was titled 100 ways to make amazing cakes to impress your friends, made it stranger only because of the fact that he had no friends. He walked and walked for hours in search for the perfect cake to set his needs. Mr. Johnson walked until he found this little bakery. It was one of those mom and pop shops that sold every little yummy, good smelling pastry ever made. Mr. Johnson turned and tried to walk in, but couldn’t because the door was locked. While stopping to question himself, a drop of rain fell upon his left cheek. Noticing the rain drop he ran back home. Once he got home he found a letter in the mail saying that his old sick mother had just been killed last night at 8:50 p.m. Having no strength to panic he went straight to bed. A few weeks passed and Mr. Johnson had still not gotten over the death of his mother, and he was getting enraged. Somehow that want for a cake grew inside of him more than ever but every time he went to that little bakery they never seemed to be opened. The neighbor across the street saw him everyday go to the little mom and pop bakery and never come home with a cake. Mr. Johnson always came back looking extremely gloomy. Day after day nothing would happen. That cake he so desired felt to get farther and farther away from being a reality to Mr. Johnson. Night after night he prayed about how much he wanted to feel the rich goodness of the cake flowing down his throat. Finally on March 9th, 2003 he was able to walk into the bakery for the first time. The happiness grew within him. Standing behind the counter was this little old lady who looked to be in her late 60s early 70s. She stood there for a bit until she ushered him into the back to see the most perfect cake ever seen by man. Mr. Johnson worried for a second about going back there with the little old lady. Sweat fell down his forehead from the images dancing in his head of what this amazingly perfect cake would look like and taste like. To his surprise there was no cake back there only a big meat cleaver in witch the old lady took to chop him up. Piece by piece she picked up from the ground and went over to wash. As she finished washing a piece she would place the piece into a cake pan. Then she poured a yellow cake mix into the pan. Then put the pan into the over to sit in the oven for about an hour. Once it was done she delivered the cake to a house. Days went by when no one saw Mr. Johnson leave or come back to his house. Only to one neighbor found a pink and white frosted cake sitting in front of there door step saying “RIP Mr. Johnson.”

CosPlay

What is CosPlay?
Cosplay (kosupure), short for "costume play", is a type of performance art whose participants outfit themselves, with often-elaborate costumes and accessories, as a specific character. Characters are usually sourced in various Japanese and East Asian media, including manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, graphic novels, video games, and fantasy movies. Other sources include performers from J-pop, J-rock, Visual Kei, fantasy music stories (such as stories by the band Sound Horizon), novels, and objects from cyberspace or the real world that are unique and dramatic (especially if they have or can be given an anthropomorphic form).

Cosplay participants ("cosplayers") form a subculture centered around wearing their costumes and reenacting scenes or inventing likely behavior inspired by their chosen sources. In some circles, the term cosplay has been broadened to include simply wearing a costume, without special consideration given to enacting characters in a performance context.

CosPlaying can be divided into two categories: basic cosplay and Masquerade. While basic cosplay only involves an attempt to look like a particular character, either in the halls of a convention or on stage, Masquerade is much more involved. When masquerading, CosPlayers attempt to act as the character would. They often have prepared skits with memorized lines, and the more advanced masqueraders can easily ad-lib their character's personality.

Anime/manga CosPlay has become very popular amongst fans in Japan and North America. Some CosPlayers make their own costumes, investing large amounts of time and money in the process, while others buy their costumes from professional costume designers. then add on to there props The end products are generally shown off at Anime conventions. Many Anime conventions hold contests for Cosplay and for Masquerade. Some successful cosplayers have become very popular and are considered celebrities in their own right.

Cosplay has a couple of meanings, but the most relevant is the merging of the words costume and play. If you want to wear a costume while attending an event (perhaps even to compete or to perform a short sketch), then you have entered the exciting world of cosplay. Wikipedia describes Cosplay as follows:

Cosplay (kosupure), a contraction (or portmanteau) of the English words "costume" and "play", is a Japanese subculture centered on dressing as characters from manga, anime, and video games, and, less commonly, Japanese live action television shows, Japanese movies, or Japanese pop music bands. However, in some circles, "cosplay" has been expanded to mean simply wearing a costume.

In Japan, "cosplay" as a hobby is usually an end unto itself. Likeminded people gather to see other costumes, show off their own elaborate handmade creations, take lots of pictures, and possibly participate in best costume contests.
The most specific anecdote about the origin of the word "cosplay" was that Nov Takahashi (from a Japanese studio called Studio Hard) coined the term "cosplay" as a contraction of the English-language words "costume play" while he was attending the 1984 Los Angeles Science Fiction Worldcon. He was so impressed by the hall and masquerade costuming there that he reported about it frequently in Japanese science fiction magazines. This ultimately triggered Japanese cosplay. This point is debatable.

Wikipedia goes on to say that Cosplay in the United States and Europe differs from Japanese cosplay culture in that cosplay concerning Sci-Fi films and TV shows along with Renaissance-era characters, and historical re-enactments (i.e. Civil War battles), especially at science fiction conventions, are far more popular in the West than they are in Japan.

It also mentions that another recent trend in cosplay is a blurring of the distinction between costumes based on characters from games and anime, and "original" costumes based upon a general theme or existing fashions. In particular, the Tokyo teen-fashion trend of gothic lolita has attracted some cosplayers who might not have the inclination to wear such distinctive clothes around town, but who would like to dress in such a manner on some occasions.

Cosplay venues
Cosplay can be seen at public events such as video game shows, as well as at dedicated cosplay parties at nightclubs or amusement parks. It is not unusual for Japanese teenagers to gather with like-minded friends in places like Tokyo's Harajuku district to engage in cosplay. Since 1998, Tokyo's Akihabara district has contained a large number of cosplay cafes, catering to devoted anime and cosplay fans. The waitresses at such cafes dress as game or anime characters; maid (or meido) costumes are particularly popular.

Possibly the single largest and most famous event attended by cosplayers is the semiannual doujinshi market, Comiket. This event, held in summer and winter, attracts hundreds of thousands of manga otaku and many thousands of cosplayers who congregate on the roof of the exhibition center, often in unbearably hot or cold conditions.

Cosplayers in Japan refer to themselves as reiya (reiya); pronounced "layer". Those who photograph players are called cameko, short for "Camera Kozo" or "Camera Boy". The cameko give prints of their photos to the players as gifts. Tensions between players and cameko have increased due to perceived stalker-like behavior among some obsessive males who push female cosplayers to exchange personal email addresses or do private photo sessions. One result of this has been a tightening of restrictions on photography at events such as Comiket.

While cosplay at fan events in Japan is thought to have originated in 1978, one should not be confused with the idea that cosplay is considered typical behavior in Japan. While some do attend cosplay functions that are held in districts such as Akihabara, most Japanese people find cosplay to be rather silly.

Cosplay costumes

Cosplay costumes are radically different from typical Halloween costumes. Because the object of cosplay is to literally to become one's character, the intricate details of the costume's construction are critical. Costumes must meticulously adhere to the designs of the characters' attire, and even more generic costumes are often elaborately artistic. Rigorous attention to detail may include ensuring the seams are aligned properly and finished, thread colors are appropriate, and fabric colors precisely match the character and their attire. Some cosplayers will buy their costumes from talented artists, while others may spend months creating the perfect cosplay outfit.

Because the costumes are so elaborate, like-minded people gather to see others' costumes, show off their own elaborate handmade creations, take lots of pictures, and possibly participate in best costume contests at different cosplay events. Countless tutorials have also been created all over the internet by cosplayers to aid members of the community.

Cosplay trends

A recent trend at Japanese cosplay events is an increase in the popularity of non-Japanese fantasy and science fiction movie characters, perhaps due to the international success of such films as The Matrix, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Characters from the Harry Potter films have a particularly high number of female fans in Japan, with female cosplayers playing either male or female characters, Draco Malfoy being an extremely popular choice.

Cosplaying as characters of the opposite sex is called "crossplay", and cosplaying as characters who dress as the opposite sex is called "cross-dressing". The main reason that people do "crossplay" or "cross-dressing" is because in anime there is an abundance of bishounen (beautiful youths), who are very attractive and feminine-looking male characters. Therefore, in the reality, females can often act as these characters better than the males. "Crossplay" and "cross-dressing" often coincide, but since some Japanese characters cross-dress to start with, it is possible to do one without the other.

For example, a female cosplayer cosplaying as a male character would be cross-dressing and crossplaying. However, a female cosplayer dressing as someone like Mana (male artist from the Visual Kei band Malice Mizer known for dressing in female clothes) would be crossplaying, but not cross-dressing; and a male cosplayer also cosplaying as Mana would be cross-dressing, but not crossplaying.

A small niche group in the crossplaying field are dollers, a subset of kigurumi cosplayers; usually male, they wear bodysuits and masks to transform fully into female characters.

By the late 1980s, rather than cosplay being a chance to roleplay as a favourite character, it was a chance to be seen. A new kind of cosplayer emerged - a cosplayer who attended events not to participate, but to be photographed. Also, photographers came to take photographs of the cosplayers, several of those photographers were from adult magazines.

International cosplay

Cosplay in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom differs from Japanese cosplay culture in some ways. Cosplay concerning Star Trek, Star Wars, other science fiction worlds, Renaissance-era characters, and historical re-enactments (e.g. Civil War battles), especially at science fiction conventions, are far more popular in America than they are in Japan. Alternatively, some costumes that might be seen as in bad taste elsewhere (such as Nazi uniforms from certain comics or games) may be seen at events in Japan.

For almost fifty years, costume fandom has had a consistent and widespread following with costumers in the West; from the first Worldcon onward, with the influx of anime costumes, the word cosplay is becoming a more and more commonly used term to describe costumes of specifically Japanese media origins.

An issue with cosplaying anime and manga characters is that these characters generally do not have bodily proportions that can easily be mimicked by many typical cosplayers (e.g. incredibly long legs, huge muscles or giant breasts), and there is debate among fans about how important this element is when cosplaying.

In Mexico, cosplay is commonly seen inside conventions that can be video game-, science fiction- or anime-themed. It is common that cosplayers will also organize their own reunions which can be themed or free for the sake of taking pictures together. Cosplay in Mexico is competitive in a healthy level, with well-established representatives. This phenomenon also can be viewed in other Latin American countries, like Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

In Australia, the trend mirrors the American in that the subject costumes may be selected from sources other than manga or anime. Sources include American comics, computer games, science fiction/fantasy movies and TV shows, animation shorts or features, period drama, novels?any source that provides vivid and graphic inspiration of a character and their costume. Usually the term cosplay is not used to cover historical recreation as the focus is on representational accuracy, not historical accuracy. In general, Australian cosplay is most commonly seen in the larger population centers such as the capital cities and major regional centers, as these have the population base to support the diversity among fringe interests. The display of the costumes is not limited to conventions, although it is not unusual for dedicated cosplayers to travel extensively throughout Australia following the convention trail during the year. In addition to the social convening at conventions, many smaller social groupings exist, hosting their own local events.

In France, cosplay is a widespread activity in anime and manga conventions. Large conventions like Japan Expo can attract more than 500 cosplayers. While the majority of French cosplayers choose anime and manga for inspiration, many people like to dress like movie characters, famous singers or even television actors even if it is not directly related to the theme of the convention. Unlike the Japanese, French cosplayers use almost exclusively hand-made costumes which are often used only once. Buying or reusing costumes is seen as unfair competition (in some contests, they can not compete). French cosplayers are mainly focused on cosplay contests, which take place in nearly all manga, science fiction, fantasy or role-playing game conventions. They are not really competitive; they are more of an occasion to show off the costume and appear as good as possible instead (e.g. scene, lighting, soundtrack, etc.). Acting and singing skills are highly valued in contests, and some groups reenact fighting or musical comedy scenes also. For example, being able to do a cartwheel stunt in costume is part of the Japan Expo tradition and one of the most valued figures in the contest.
In Belgium, cosplay plays an increasingly important role in the F.A.C.T.S. convention, with hundreds of people dressed up in costume from different anime series - though there is an equally large group of cosplays inspired by Western fandoms such as Star Wars, Stargate, Harry Potter, Marvel or DC comics, Disney and much more.

Also, B.I.F.F.F., Asianim and even Hypercon are organizing competitions as it gives conventions a unique additional value.

Cosplay is rapidly entering the mainstream in the Philippines, where cosplay events are often held within an anime, manga, gaming, or sci-fi convention. More often than not, these conventions and events are sponsored, and debates have raged on whether or not judges' perspectives are influenced by the organizers of a cosplay event. Also, Filipino cosplay rules overlook and allow professional fully commissioned costumes to participate in competitions.

Cosplay also has followers in other parts of Asia such as South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia. As well as attending comic festivals and events, cosplayers there also frequent districts popular with teenagers.
Besides pictorial artworks, there is another form of cosplay, which is taking a source from something in the real world being unique and dramatic and then changing its appearance and spirit as the anthropomorphic form for the convenience and vividness of a human cosplaying it: for example, "Princess SP1900" the anthropomorphic form of electric multiple unit rolling-stock SP1900 of Kowloon-Canton Railway in Hong Kong .

Cosplay in North America

Anime convention activity in the United States and Canada has become a much larger and much more popular trend in the 2000s. With the added public attention coming from such popular animated series imported from Japan (see anime) including Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, Death Note, Inuyasha and Bleach, cosplayers and the anime world have peeked their heads into the world of mainstream pop culture, on at least a relatively underground scale. More and more convention-goers cosplay as their favorite characters from their favorite anime, and thus, the cosplay and anime subcultures have been able to have enough influence to further the creation of anime conventions to accommodate for the increasing number of cosplayers.

Conventions in America often include both cosplay and costume contests. The cosplay, or "masque", (masquerade) is a skit contest done in cosplay costume. The costume contest is often a test of skill, design, and audience reaction. The contestants are judged either beforehand or on stage and then walk across said stage while the audience cheers (or not, depending on the etiquette of the venue). The increased popularity of convention costuming has led to the addition of several relatively new cosplay-based events, adding to the traditional masquerade and hall costume contests. Such events include the Anime Dating Game and Cosplay Human Chess, where participating cosplayers act out their characters' role in the game accordingly.

Competition has led to the development of many cosplay groups that plan for conventions months in advance. Non-competitive cosplay can often be seen at opening nights for science-fiction and fantasy movies, especially those with an established following. Even in small towns, some cosplayers wait in line for hours before showings of movies in franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Even cult hits like Serenity have drawn opening night cosplay.

In the UK, US and elsewhere, fans of The Rocky Horror Picture Show attend screenings of the cult film in the costumes of its characters. This tradition began soon after the film's release in 1975.

The annual Bay to Breakers footrace in San Francisco has been a favorite cosplay venue for decades. A large number of cosplayers run or walk in their favorite costumes amongst serious competitive runners.[citation needed] In the CBS hit show CSI: NY, one of the victims that was found dead on the episode "Down the Rabbit Hole" was cosplaying as her avatar, as was the victim's killer.

Starting on July 4th, 2008, a limited number of cosplay j-pop influenced dance parties have been springing up in the city of Chicago after a recent Wizard World Convention well it is bit long to explain about the "cosplay" but, hope it help you.

College Life @ Home

Ahhh I hate how my dad keeps on barking at me about my studding when I know everything and talk about the things that will be on the test/quizzes. I just want to be able to do things on my own time. He also did this first thing. Like he didn’t say how you or anything are just did you study… you should study more… study, study, study. Then he started to talk about he has to push me because in high school I didn’t get that good of grades Ummm….. He’s that kind of guy who likes to bring up the bad things in the past… I hate that about him…. Sure he might sound/seem nice in front of my friends and stuff but he doesn’t have to bark at me and talk like he’s mad at me. I told him I studied but he doesn’t think I did just because he didn’t see me do it. Oh and also he was barking at the fact that my friend ate some food and she had more than I noticed… just because a few of them where gone doesn’t mean anything…. He’s told me that he doesn’t want to eat them all himself. It’s a little confusing when he offers food to everyone and when I do the same just to be nice he gets pissed at me. I just want to scream and yell and I want to have a weekend were I’m able to be with my friends and totally away from him because he makes you go totally crazy…. I’m kind of jealous that Alex gets to get out and go to college away from the house. He gets to get away from the crazy man…. He can’t ever just be nice to you in the morning. No hi how are you doing.... how you feel….you doing ok…. NOPE!!!!! But w/e I’m just going to go and live my life as best as I can.

College Day 1 8-24-09

Big day for me… I started my first day of college. I have one class… English (the teacher is Asian) I know that’s a shock even for me. I met up with Tim awesome dude. We went to explore the school and see all that we could see there. It was kool. I found the library to be huge as huge could get. All and all things went well…. I found the lunch cafeteria area. That looked awesome. Everything looked awesome…. I’m going to try to find out where I could get an art class. Something small and not at noon until two-ish because I have my English then. But maybe for Tuesday or Thursday I have nothing going on then. Yea I know everyone wants me to get a job but I could get a weekend job or something that would be around those times. Like I could start a job at 4:00 until about 9:00 every other day. That would be awesome. As of how today went I’d have to say it went very well so far. Tim is same old same old with appearance but I think this summer has made him get much more crazy than he use to be… oh well I think that’s what summer does to people… it makes them go CRAZY!!!!!

Super Aaron

8-16-09

Every 5seconds he asks me about food. I told him already that I didn’t want anything because I already ate half a bag of cheetos. He thinks he knows so much. I’m not hungry because I already ate something. He thinks the printer in my room will work when it won’t. He thinks he could fix the TV by pressing bottoms but he can’t. I want to just be left alone. I want to just be with my bf or my friends that’s it. I want to go away to college and be away from my dad because he thinks he can control me all my life well he can’t. In two years I’m going to have to find an apartment in Down Town Chicago. I need to find myself a roommate soon. I wish my bf could live with me but He wouldn’t be able to nor does his parents want him to be living with me when he turns 18. I wish that everything could just be perfect. Like the fact that I want to gauge my ears and dye my hair and dress this “hardcore” pink punk emo look because I like it. I want to be able to feel free. I want to at least right now not have to be home by 9:00 because I’m 18 not 13, 18. I should be able to at least stay out until 11:00 but if that’s pushing it a bit then at least 10:00. I want to be able to have someone over like my friend Mary without him trying to stay here at home saying he has to babysit us. That just kind of pisses me off because we are old enough to take care of ourselves. AAAHHHHH I want to be able to feel a bit more free. He tells me to grow up but how can I when he won’t let me. I love anime and I know people who are like in their 30s that still love anime. I know what I like and I’m not going to change for anyone. I’m not going to be this fake person just because someone thinks this is how someone should be when they grow up. HA!!!! I’m going to live my life by my rules!!!!

I have the biggest headrace ever and no one cares… my dad takes me to the mall because he doesn’t want me sitting at home doing nothing. I get that I shouldn’t be home all the time sitting on the computer but when my friends want to take me out to go do stuff he doesn’t let me… Alex (my bro) goes out all the time because he’s 20 now. Still that’s not right. So I get he didn’t want me going out because it was too late but w/e so I went with him to the mall. At the mall I wanted to be nice to show him some dinosaur thing and that’s all I wanted to show him. Good done. I don’t know why he followed me around the mall after words. I was just trying to be nice and show him something cool in the mall. After I showed him what I wanted to show him I started to walk off towards too cool (the hello kitty sanrio anime store). Once I turned in to look at around in the store he was like why you going to look at baby stuff. He also said why don’t you just grow up and stop acting like a baby. That’s not the only thing that pissed me off… when we were walking by hottopic some people about my age where wearing stuff kind of punk emo-ish he called them “cartoons” meaning he thought they looked stupid/bad. It hurt my feelings because the stuff they were wearing were stuff I would wear and do wear. So in a way he was making fun of me too even though I don’t think he realized it. On the ride home he was just talking to Michele. She was just trying to help me out by saying he likes to put people down. He was like “yea I do love to put people down and hurt their feelings to… I most like tying Louie to the cage and hitting him over and over again and putting Bella under water. That’s why they listen to me so well because they are afraid of me.” I started lashing out at him and telling him to shut up. I wanted to start swearing at him but I controlled myself of that. I don’t get why he would say that kind of things about the pets because only someone truly psycho would say or do something like that. After I lashed out at him I just sat in the back seat and cried for a little bit… no one seemed to care about it. No one ever seems to care about it when I cry at home. No one at home at least seems to care. I know my friends care about me and seem to care more about my feelings. I just wish that I could have a week or two to be with people that don’t judge me and or make fun of me or even tries to hurt my feelings. That would be just perfect if I could just be with my friends for one whole week or two.
